Featured Events Featured Events CityPlace and Rohi's Readery honor Black History Month In February, CityPlace teamed up with children's bookstore Rohi's Readery to host a Black History Month Kickoff event for the third year running. The West Palm Beach community came together to celebrate African Diasporic people's history and culture, participating in activities ranging from thoughtful panel discussions about representation to family educational workshops and fun dance classes. New in the Neighborhood Fred Eversley to debut public art installation at One Flagler Related has partnered with the City of West Palm Beach to commission a new public art installation by Fred Eversley. Titled Portals, the sculptural installation will be located at Class A office building One Flagler and will be unveiled in 2024. Eversley's largest commissioned work to date was inspired by the adjacent First Church of Christ, Scientist, and as part of this project, the architecturally significant church will be preserved in perpetuity. The graceful "gate" created by Portals' eight translucent parabolic shapes will appear to welcome visitors to the church and the property's public green space, Julian Abele Park, named for the church's African American architect, Julian Abele.
