Prior to joining the Related Ross team as an Executive Vice President, Scott previously held the position of Senior Vice President in charge of construction operations and the strategic planning of the Related Santa Clara project. It is a 9.2 million square foot mixed-use project nearing initial construction in the city of Santa Clara adjacent to Levi’s Stadium and the Santa Clara Convention Center. The project to be developed in sections over the next 10 years will feature a 4 million square foot city center surrounded by 5+ million square feet of corporate office campuses. In addition, with Related, Scott had worked on the launch of the construction activities for The Grand LA project, a high-rise, urban master planned mixed use development in downtown Los Angeles consisting of hotel, residential and retail.
Prior to joining Related Urban in early 2016, Scott was Vice President Operations Manager and Construction Executive for the Turner Construction Company, where he worked for twenty plus years. In this most recent position with Scott’s previous company, Scott oversaw all operations within the Southwest Region, in charge of the set-up and launching of large-scale construction projects and the management of major project client relations. Prior this his most recent position with Turner Construction, Scott was the Vice President and Principal in charge of the $1 billion Wilshire Grand mixed-use project in downtown Los Angeles, which is the tallest building west of the Mississippi consisting of 2.1 million square feet.
Other milestone projects Scott has managed during his career at Turner in the Southwest Region included the Pre Con effort of the Manchester Pacific Gateway Project on the waterfront of San Diego for Manchester Financial; Lead of Pre Con effort of 7th and Market a mixed-use facility is San Diego; The construction efforts of Ball Park Village in Downtown San Diego, a 34 story, 634,000-square-foot luxury residential tower and Sempra Energy Headquarters in downtown San Diego. Prior to Scott’s relocation to the Southwest in early 2012, Scott was a Construction Executive in the New York Business Unit for Turner Construction where he successfully lead commercial office projects such as 250 West 55th Street, East River Science Park, Hearst Tower and 300 Madison in Midtown Manhattan.
